内容記述 In this paper I shall report on the special lessons in the ‘Introduction to Clinical Education’, which is a required subject for postgraduate students on the master’s course who belong in Education Major and Clinical Psychology Major in the Graduate School of Literature, and Clinical Education Major in the Graduate School of Clinical Education. The academic field of ‘Clinical Education’ that we addressed began originally with some educational, psychological and social problems such as school refusal and bullying and violence etc in Japan and other countries. Mr. Gary Foskett, as a cooperative lecturer, and I gave two special lessons for them. The contents were ‘Aims of Education’ based on his philosophy of education of 3DI based on intellectual/instinctual, emotional/social, and physical/spiritual(metaphysical) intelligences, including showing some cooperative or topic work by children, as the learning methods of progressive education, by using a DVD of Eveline Lowe Primary School where he as a headteacher worked for twenty-one years. Our goal in the lessons was to promote reflective thinking and attitudes regarding our views on the aims of education. The results we identified from the final assessments using the students' comments were that many of their ideas or thoughts about education which had previously occupied their minds mostly changed from stereotyped ideas into creative ones. They were, therefore, actually inspired to think about educational reform.
