We observed changes in body weight and fat tissue organs in SHRSP・Z-Leprfa/NDmcr（SPZF） rats at 12 and 18 weeks of age. Plasma glucose and insulin concentrations were significantly higher in SPZF than in WKY rats. Homeostasis model assessment-insulin resistance in SPZF was significantly higher than in WKY rats. MG53 protein expression in skeletal muscles from SPZF was significantly higher than that in skeletal muscles from WKY rats. These findings suggest that SPZF shows insulin resistance. MG53 may affect the development of insulin resistance in SPZF. |
