| 内容記述 | Although Mitsue Fujitani, a discerning classical scholar and grammarian of the late Edo period, had a lot of students, he was not blessed with having real academic successore. this was because his students, who were in Kyoto, didi not consider waka and the Japanese grammar necessary for making waka to bi study, but to be culture which the rich upper class should acquire not unlike kado and chado. Among these students Atsuyoshi Igarashi was exceptional, and hi could have acceded to Mitsue's academic position. Atsuyoshi, houexer, could not fully succeed Mitsue because he lived remote from Kyoto and was taught for only Mitsue's last two years of life. | |||||||||||
