| 内容記述 | SELF（Systematic English Learning Facilitation：体系的な英語自己学習支援）は，筆者が提唱する組織の英語対応力強化を支援する取り組みである．本稿は，科学研究費助成事業（JSPS 科研費 21K00722）の一環として実施した「SELF ビジネス英語プログラム」の実践に関する報告である．本プログラムは，企業向けに開発した『ビジネス英語ハンドブック』および『ビジネス英語ワークブック』を用いて実施した．事前アンケートでは受講者の属性や英語使用状況を把握し，事後アンケートでは教材・学習方法およびプログラムに対する受講者の評価を分析した．その結果，SELF プログラム全体の実務的有用性について概ね肯定的な評価が示された．本報告では，学習効果と課題を整理するとともに，ESP＊アプローチに基づくビジネス英語教育の有効性を検証した． ＊ ESP（English for Specific Purposes）とは，学習者が特定の職務や専門分野で必要とする英語に焦点を当てた教育アプローチであり，ビジネス英語教育もその主要な一領域に含まれる． |

| 内容記述 | SELF （Systematic English Learning Facilitation） is an initiative proposed and led by the author to enhance business English competence in corporate settings. This paper presents a practical report on the “SELF Business English Program,” implemented as part of a JSPS KAKENHI-funded research project （21K00722）. The program was conducted using two original instructional materials developed for corporate use: the Business English Handbook and the Business English Workbook. A pre-program questionnaire examined participantsʼprofiles and workplace English usage, while a post-program questionnaire evaluated the instructional materials and four learning methods employed in the program. The results indicated an overall positive evaluation of the programʼs practical usefulness. This paper outlines the learning outcomes and remaining challenges and examines the effectiveness of the program within the framework of the ESP （English for Specific Purposes） approach, with reference to its applicability to corporate business English education. |
