| 内容記述 | 2023年12月にノートルダム清心女子大学において実施したインタビュー記録（本号に掲載）の解説及び補足を行なうとともに、カトリック教会系の女子大学がトランスジェンダー女性の受け入れを決定し、実行した意味について若干の考察を行なった。 2023年度より、カトリック教会系のノートルダム清心女子大学はトランスジェンダー女性の受け入れを開始しており、短期間で受け入れの決定を行なった。カトリック教会は、一般にトランスジェンダーに対して厳しい対応をしてきたが、この大学で迅速に受け入れを実行できたのは、津田葵学長のリーダーシップが大きい。さらに、大学が取り組んできた学生個々人へのきめ細かな対応の伝統が、トランスジェンダー女性受け入れという新たな課題にも対応していけるとの自負に繋がっている。 ただ、事前に行なっておくべき教職員と学生双方に対するトランスジェンダーに関する研修や意見聴取、さらに大学の方針や対応について、事前準備が十分にされていない点で、課題があると思われる。 |

| 内容記述 | In addition to providing some commentary and supplements to the interview transcript conducted at Notre Dame Seishin University in December 2023 （published in this issue）, we had some discussion on the significance of the decision by a Catholic Church-affiliated womenʼs university to accept transgender women. From the 2023 academic year, Notre Dame Seishin University, affiliated with the Catholic Church, began accepting transgender women and implemented the decision in a short period and at an early stage in Japan. While the Catholic Church has generally had a harsh attitude toward transgender people, it was due to the leadership of President Aoi Tsuda that made it possible to proceed so quickly. In addition, the university has had a tradition of meticulous attention to each student, and they are proud of our ability to meet such a new challenge. However, there seems some issues in terms of whether the university has adequately prepared in advance for transgender-related training and opinion hearings for both faculty and students, as well as university policies and measures to be taken after admission. |
