There are eight wooden reliefs with tituli affixed to the exterior wall of the apse, illustrating how the miracles of the buddhist divinity, Acala (Fudou-Myou-ou) had elevated Sadayakko from disaster. These reliefs seem to be inspired by the typological vitae of the saints adorning so often the portals, as well as the stained glass of the church chor in Western Europe, where Sadayakko was on tour.
