| 内容記述 | Recently in Japan, consumer debt has grown rapidly and the rates of personal bankruptcy has increased remarkably, especially among the young adult population. College students are increasingly becoming the focus of credit card comapanies' tactics to gain new customers. And the "buy now, pay later" philosophy has substantially affected the way of economic life of college students. So, the proliferation of credit cards and their ease of acquisition ensures that college students today have more opportunities for making credit purchases than any prior generations of college students. However, as credit education in Japan is behind times, so most Japanese college students lack reliable knowledge on credit cards. This paper argued that college administrators should have deep awareness of the growing social and economic impact of credit card on college students, and they should make a freshman course to learn about basics of economic and consumer skills such as credit card usage. | |||||||||||
